What it is
A save indicator communicates states such as Unsaved changes, Saving, and Saved. It reduces anxiety in autosaving interfaces, but must not claim server synchronization when only local persistence has occurred.
When to use it
Use in editors or forms with delayed or automatic persistence.
Know the difference
Saving describes persistence; syncing describes propagation between local and remote copies.
