What it is
A contextual list of recent items or quick tasks attached to a desktop app shortcut. Group useful destinations and commands so people can resume work without opening the app's home screen first.
When to use it
Use it when discussing desktop taskbar shortcuts and recent documents.
Know the difference
A jump list belongs to an app launcher or taskbar item; a document menu lives inside the app.
