UI illustration

An image gallery exposes multiple pictures together, often with thumbnails that open a larger view. The layout should keep image proportions and let users understand which image is selected.

When to use it

Use when images are the primary content.

Know the difference

A gallery displays a set of images; a carousel usually exposes only part of a sequence.
